Focus Groups
Pre-survey focus groups can be an invaluable way of exploring the issues affecting different groups of employees and gaining a depth of understanding of key topics for the survey. Post-survey groups help to provide an insight into the survey results that is not always possible from purely structured, quantitative surveys.
Pre-survey Focus Groups conducted by us can also:
- Demonstrate commitment to an inclusive approach
- Allow staff to comment freely, in a confidential environment
- Answer people's questions about the project e.g. why it is taking place, confidentiality, what will happen when, how staff will be involved in post-survey action planning
- Create survey champions through their involvement in the development process
Confidential post-survey Focus Groups can provide important supplementary information to help with action-planning, exploring:
- The background to certain results (e.g. where views from a particular group are at odds with others)
- The reasons underpinning particularly positive or negative results
- Feedback from any group that was less willing to respond to the survey
